i feel like crap. i have a fever and the chills, not to mention aches, a sore throat, and congestion. woohoo. but the chapman trip was super awesome. our scene won first runner up. thats not the actual name of the award, but thats basically what it was. we should have won best scene, but lets not go into that. anyway, my ucla audition went pretty ok. it could have gone better, and the music auditioner only had me sing one of my songs, and i didnt sing it as well as i could/should have, so i dont know if he didnt want me to sing the second because i sang the first one super well or super badly. oh well, i guess i'll find out in march. oh, plus, the acting auditioner was like, the most stoic woman i'd ever met in my life. it sucked, there was no energy to work with. oh well.
then i went to disneyland. now, for me, disneyland is a place loaded with horrible memories. but thanks to some great friends, i now have some fantastic memories there. yay!
ok, i'm gonna go, cuz i feel like pooooo. ew.

I hope your audition at UCLA went well...I'm sure the auditioner loved you! Of course, I have a UCLA bias but whatever.
Good luck on colleges!

just kidding. i <3 melissa.
so, chapman... was interesting. the only bad part was that the school that won did EXACTLY the same scene we did, and were obviously worse at it. but we think that the people at that school have some connection to the judges. after the competition, we overheard them talking about where they should head for dinner, and they were being totally casual about it. so, it was pretty frustrating. but its ok, at least we were acknowledged somehow.

cortney did do a monologue, and she was indeed frickin' amazing. she always is. maybe this is her news to share, and i'm overstepping boundries a little, but she used her competition monologue to audition for the theater program at chapman earlier in the day, before the competition. her auditioner was also one of the judges for the monologue competition, and when she was finished with her audition, he basically told her that, not only is she into the program, hes also going to recommend her for scholarships. pretty goddamn awesome. just like cortney. yay!
